I have yet to find any pre-modern culture that hasn't developed it's own sets of fairy tales, myths, and legends. I'm sure I'll miss quite a few - just leave a comment, and I'll add any suggestions! Thanks!!!
Any links from Gutenberg.org will feature free ebooks in a variety of formats, including an occasional audio book. ** There is always on ONLINE version, so you can skim to see the content before downloading for your child to read.
Any links from Librivox.org will feature a variety of free audio formats.
It is likely that I will not have the same copy version on some of the books between the 3 sources, and authors often wrote several similar books, and there are many written by anonymous with similar titles. Plus, some versions are abridged. I've done my best to match them up.

Even with as long as this list has become ... there are still dozens more that I will not have time to add tonight.
Go to gutenberg.org ... and Type in "Fairy Tales" in the search box for many, many more.
