Reading List for Ages 6 - 12

Depending on the reading level of your child - many of these book will be better suited for listening rather than reading alone.  Depending on the maturity of your child, some books will be better suited to older children rather than younger ones.  Most of these books should be fairly familiar to most parents.  All of these are classics - feel free to suggest any that I overlooked.

Topic : Fairy Tales

As a child, I spent many wonderful hours reading fairy tales.  I loved the mystery and enchanting way a single story was reworded and retold time after time from many points of view.   And I also enjoyed the peek into the culture and beliefs of a group of people, especially if all of a culture's stories are read at the same time.

I have yet to find any pre-modern culture that hasn't developed it's own sets of fairy tales, myths, and legends.   I'm sure I'll miss quite a few - just leave a comment, and I'll add any suggestions!   Thanks!!!
