And while they were there,
the days were accomplished that she should be delivered,
And she brought forth her firstborn son,
and laid him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2: 6-7
When Joseph and Mary finally arrived in Bethlehem,
the inn was full.
It doesn't say that they wandered around going from inn to inn.
It was a small town,
a town of Shepherds.
Maybe they didn't get much company,
after all, Jerusalem was close by.
They could have been in Bethlehem for several days.
While they were there ...
how long is that?
But because there was no room in the inn,
she laid the baby in a manger.
No mention of a stable either.
It leaves much open for speculation ...
so few details.
Do you have room for Jesus?
